Indonesia Leads Medal Tally of 2019 ASEAN Schools Game

Semarang – Indonesia has successfully became the general champion at the 2019 ASEAN Schools Game (ASG). The host country collected 102 medals in total.

Indonesia led the medal tally with 43 gold medals, 34 silver medals and 25 bronze medals, while the runner up, Thailand, took home 33 gold medals, 31 silver medals and 35 bronze medals.

Malaysia won the third place with 18 gold medals, 25 silver medals and 34 bronze medals. The list goes on with Singapore, Vietnam, The Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Brunei Darussalam and Cambodia consecutively.

At the game, Indonesia swept away all gold medals in Badminton and won 7 out of 10 from Pencak Silat. This surpassed the 5 gold medals target.

Another target that was exceeded was in Athletics as Indonesia won 11 gold medals from 8 target.
